Once harvested, the cherries undergo meticulous wet processing, where the outer pulp is removed using eco-friendly methods that conserve water and protect bean integrity. The coffee is then fermented, washed, and sun-dried on raised drying beds under carefully monitored conditions. This natural drying process allows the beans to retain their distinct aroma, rich body, and bright acidity — the signature characteristics of Bugisu Arabica Coffee.
During drying, our trained quality control team regularly turns and inspects the parchment to ensure even moisture reduction and prevent defects. Once the beans reach optimal dryness, they are graded and stored in well-ventilated warehouses, maintaining ideal humidity and temperature levels before milling.
